Are you looking to buy energy suspension, prothane, or any other aftermarket bushings? If so, then it doesnt matter, all the arms are the same, but the polyurethane bushings arent anything like the stock ones.
What's weird is hen I but up the vendors on the market place they all say that there isn't a bushing kit for uca and LCa for my 99 sc400... I don't want to order the wrong thing and be screwed during the installation.
It's the same control am though. Ive also searched and nothing but sway bar bushings comes up for any SC 99, even though its all the same control arms.

They're not the same. The bushings for a 97+ lca is different when compared to a 92-96. I've seen online that the prothanes can be modified to fit a 97+ lca, but I haven't tried it personally to confirm. There are also members on this forum that swear it isn't possible to modify the bushing to fit in any way, so I don't know what to tell you.
Personally I had an extra pair of 92 LCA sitting around, so I installed prothane bushings and swapped the 92 LCA on to my 98. If I were to do it again I would just pay the money and get a brand new pair of supra LCA just to know i have a brand new balljoint and bushing.
Whats the use of brand new bushings when your old balljoints arent fairing well right? You'd think aftermarket bushings would fit since they protrude the way they do.

that's an excellent point... definitely would make my installation much easier too. maybe a set of supra lca and doorman upper and call it day....
