Default daytime running light change to led?

just wondering can i change the DRL to LED? i know it dual purposes as high beams. I wouldn't mind making it a HID but i remember it can cause it to flicker when it acts as DRL. i want to change out to either LED something else to get rid of the last yellow light.

thanks,
sid

Day time running lights, if ran using the high beams, takes the normal voltage applied to the high beam and cuts it in half so if your car is running and your alternator is pumping a nice 13-14 volts that means your high beams are geting about 6.5-7 volts... which is probably not enough for the leds to light up.

you will need to use a relay to make led replacement bulbs work for the drl.

I bought LEDs off ebay and just ran a error free resistor one. Works for me!
