LED High Beam replacement
I did a search but I couldnt find any images (me being a retard is a good possibility to this not working). I live in the city so I never use my high beams. I was wondering if anyone had any images of their car running 5K DRL for their high beams. Please post up an image. Thank you.
I did upload this a while back... it is the park light that I changed to LED and it sits inside the High Beam housing. The left is OEM and right is LED. This should give you a fair idea of how it looks. And how bright yours will be depend on the LED you put in.
Some pointers to keep in mind:
1) cripple your high beam which you said you don't care
2) you don't see a thing different if it's ON or OFF cause LED put out little brightness that you can't really tell the different while it's ON or OFF.
3) This is more for others to enjoy. You and everyone in your car won't notice any different.
4) If you don't turn off the day running light already, you need a visit to the dealer to have it turn off. DRL is just highbeam run in low power. LED only handle one kind of power. Or you can buy a regulator which takes power directly from your battery to turn on your LED if it sees any power from the highbeam/DRL wire.

I live in the city too but I still want my high beam for:
1) I do travel interstate. It works wonder on roads that don't have street light and no other vehicles around.
2) When I drive into my neighborhood I switch on high beam just so kids knows a car is coming and hopefully they won't jump out between parked cars.
Here is a guy did the DRL highbeam.
