Default Hoebag Edition Tail Lights

Hello CL Fam... I just wanted to ask if there is a DIY to do the HoeBag special on the 97+ tail lights. I tried to search but nothing has been coming up. Could someone give me some guidance on this.

i never wrote a diy for it, but i can if there is a lot of interest. its a bit tricky to open the passenger side tail light without breaking the key hole.

hoebag was my previous screen name. i modified the same style tail lights i had for cherplex (not my best work though, sorry bud), and he has called them hoebag taillights since then. the original design was matte black outer trim, retain the chrome line, and cherry red lenses. the trick to the smoked look on his that i did was that the gray housings were painted black as well.

there are many ways of painting the tail lights though as shown above. scotturnott took all of this to the extreme though with his frankenstein tails
