so i have a big problem, my ac started to turn on and off, and now it doesn't work.. while i was trying to figure out whats wrong with it... i heard a loud pop.. sounded like a fuse blew.. but i can't figure out which one blew... after that my hids started to flicker alot when its on.. it never did this before.. the car has been sitting for almost 2 weeks now. when i tried to start it today... the car was completely dead.. the battery is not even a year old.. after jump starting the car... it stays on for like 10 minutes.. then completely shuts off.. There is absolutely no power after it turns off.. id then have to jump start the car again and the same scenerio happens... what could be wrong with it??? is it a bad battery??? or is my alternator messed up??? or is there a fuse on the alternator i can check??? n e help is appriciated.. im pretty frustrated which my car!!!

 

Undo the AC wiring at the AEM V2, and see what happens then. Check the volts on the battery after it is charged over night and see if you have 12 volts or so.

 

U think that could be causing it???it was kinda weird when i pressed the ac button and the whole car shut off..guess ill trait tomorrow

 

Her mark can u text me your number bro, undid the ac car still shutting off after about 5 minutes being on.. The idle drops.and the car completely dies.. If i gas it it'll.stay on but as soon as i let go it drops.and turns off

 

so got lucky... it was just the battery that was bad, it wouldn't hold a charge so thats y even if i jump started the car, there was no reserve to keep the car running without gasing the car... SO HAPPY it wasn't the alternator lol

 

Reminds me of a similar problem that I had except my radio and all my lights flickered and car wouldnt stay on for longer than 2 minutes except it was my alternator haha. You should double check all your fuses though because i ended up blowing like 3 fuses for the alternator.

 

lol my hid's kept flickering to.. it was like i had strobe lights.. but after the new battery all of that stoped

 

Glad you got it figured out and it was a simple fix...
