Default Problem with door indicator light. Help asap plz :)

Hey guys so after a long road on my car I'm nearly done with repairing it, but so today I put in its new battery and it's all good and dandy but when I close my doors the indicator is still on in my dash.

I did replace the pasamager door and the door well does need some work but the passenger does close.

Now what could it be that's making the light turn on? I can get pics tomorrow if needed.

But just a recap
. Pasnager door was replaced with harness
. Door well needs straightening but closes

The new door itself isn't damaged but my old door was.

Lmk if u guys have any info on this

On another note my lock./open button switch on my key is intended working is that because of my door indicator says it's not closed and won't do anything till it comes off?

i've had a customer car that had body work have the exact problem you are describing. The problem was the door was dented in the place where it supposed to push down on the door ajar switch (on the body of the car, towards the rear. Should be a little rubber button). Wasn't contacting all the way and the door ajar light would come on during right turns. Make sure that switch is OK first, then get the door aligned to make sure the switch is getting proper contact when the door closes. Short term solution is to remove the switch (1 10mm bolt) and disconnect it from the car.
