Default Wiper does NOT stop

So I've tried Google, search in here, and all with no solution. Most ppl have problems with dead wipers. Mine's the completely opposite - it does NOT stop.

Just happened again today after a whole day and night of rain so I think maybe water got into the ECU or relay and short the connection? Is that even possible?

As soon as I turn the car on, wiper is on also. The 'stop' or 'intermittent' setting has no effect, but it does speed up on the fastest setting. I've unplugged battery, unlock my doors w/ the key and held it to the left - to disable any potential factory alarm settings. Nothing works.

Now it finally stopped raining and I'm the only car on the road with wipers going, looks pretty stupid.

I have the same problem. Happens any time my car starts to get wet. Sometimes when I wash my car fast I get lucky and it doesn't go off. Anybody know how to fix this? It's bugging the hell out of me too

Same problem here too. Everything seems to be OK but still in wet roads it does that. Not so much after I have done some taping etc. I have checked wiper motor, taped and resealed a connector near the wiper motor, looked if there's broken wire cores, also taped and relocated windscreen washer pump's connector which is not connected to pump because i have removed the broken container. I don't have any kind of inner fenders so it might also have some effect on problem. Next I will spray water to different areas (fenders, windscreen) while the car is idling and see where the water makes short circuit.

look in your left front upper wheel well. the harness up top tends to cause strange problems when it has been rubbed through due to scraping. most people just relocate the harness from the get go just to be safe ESP if you are at any ride height besides factory.

Dead relays from extreme cold cause the windshield wipers to do this. Since it can go faster, but not slower. Here is a link; http://my.is/forums/f90/windshield-w...t-stop-379598/

A local guy had this happen to him. He found that he ate through the harness as someone mentioned above.
