Celebrating Lexus & Toyota from Around the Globe
Just to give you an idea, I will be coordinating a Lexus meet just south of Nashville next month if all goes well. Just to let you know...
Whats on the agenda for mods? Where did you find it? We demand a full story.

Got the car off of ebay, one owner, sat in his garage, just driven on nice days.
As for mods, its staying stock except for some window tint and wheels. Really its too nice to hack up, unless I go full bore and turbocharge it. But I don't have that type of $$$$$$(which I'm guessing that type of work would be about $10,000 if you do it right).
I do have a couple of questions though:
1. What do the stock wheels weigh? If I'm buying aftermarket wheels, I know some cheap ones can be really heavy.
2. Is there a way to convert the key/remote fob to the later lexus design that has a trunk popper on it?
3. How much should the shift **** be vibrating? It kind of vibrates a lot, more than my junky 93 Toyota truck with the 22RE. Otherwise the engine is smooth as silk, kind of crazy if you forget to shift and you look down at the tach and its at 4k, its so smooth and silent. Almost too quiet, I wish they had put a little more bark into the exhaust.
4. How do you care for the paint on the lower rockers? Its a textured finish, I'm assuming bug and tar remover won't hurt it. Do you wax it normally like the rest of the car?
1. Not sure on the stock weight of the wheels, but you can find inexpensive and light wheels like Enkeis, or even Rotas if you don't mind the haters.
2. I would imagine you would have to get an aftermarket alarm/remote for a trunk popper, but I would imagine you could get an OEM unit from a newer car and wire it in as well. Not 100% sure on that.
3. My **** would shake just bit, not excessive though. Might want to check out the transmission bushing. It does not make any noise right, just vibrates?
4. the lower rockers have an extra thick textured coating, then covered with normal primer/paint/clear, so you can take care of it just like any other part of the car.

Seriously dude, good find!
Thanks,
Rick
