Fun is not being caught in rush hour traffic with stop and go for 45 minutes to an hour. Holding down the clutch for that long period and never using it to actually shift into a higher gear can result in a lot of fatigue.

I grew up in and with stick shift in pickups, trucks, even tractors, and cars. I've had more than my share of fun with them. But they are definitely not for me now.

I have owned only one automatic in my life and I can honestly say it was the most boring thing ever. The next time I buy an auto is because I forgot how drive or I'm over 50.

Isn't this the same with any car? Straight drive can make any car more fun and peppy. But me personally, being slammered, i do appreciate my autotragic. lol

The only advantage I see with a manual is less weight and you can get better gas mileage...on a stock sc

And sticks are quicker due to less drive train loss...

(and what does "stock" have to do with anything?)

But beyond that, yeah, no need to factor in drive involvement. Totally unimportant. I'm sure people spent the time and money to do 5-spd swaps for the gas mileage...

In the drag racing world autos are faster. I would prefer a stick but my auto gets the job done.
