Antenna problem??

Antenna problem??
Ok so my antenna does not know when stop going so it has stripped out 3 new masts so far and I am confused as to what tells the motor when to stop moving?
I have an aftermarket head unit if that matters? Does anybody else have this problem?

had the same issue. Got to the point where it wouldnt go up anymore. Did some research but couldnt find anything so i just unplugged the motor and left the antenna down. It still catches signal fine when down. I would suggest doing the same thing or maybe getting some kind of short aftermarket replacement.
