Tempature coolant problem

Default Tempature coolant problem

I have a 92 sc400 when i start her up and idle the gauge temp is normal when i start driving it moves up a lil bit it stays there dont get higher or lower jus obove normal line i changed the thermostat and radiator and same problem can some tell me if its a headgasket problem thank u

that's normal, the temp gauge isn't very sensitive. It moves to the middle or slightly above the middle and stays there. it doesn't start to move past that until 260deg+ and when it does it rises very quickly

Yep thats normal.
As long as you're not into the red area you're good. Mine usually gets to half way max on long drives, its fine if it goes higher though.so.dont sweat it.

Marky_trd!! I was hoping my friend could recover the emanage files on my computer that just took a crap, but now all I want is the pic of you on there playing dress-up in front of moms make-up mirror! Small world!

Ect can be bad or u got high resistance or corrosion on te wire or sensor

It be very hot under my hood and my last radiator got busted dont know how but knows it got something to do with pressure and my resivor that i had in whn i bought the car had a small hairline crack so i bought one from some guy that was parting out a sc it was perfectly fine until couple days then had a crack same way the first one was and at the same place next to the sensor on resivor it looks like its caused by pressue and it do sound like headgasket i dont know very much but let me know what you guys think

No, you're the same person. I could prove it, but this ain't the place or time.

Now back to your problem. You've already replaced the thermostat, next step would be replace the upper and lower rad hoses, and then get a radiator with metal end tanks, or an aluminum one. I just recently put a cheapo eBay purchased mk4 supra aluminum radiator in my gf's sc. $140 shipped, I figured it was worth the chance. It fit decent, bent the stock brackets to hold it down. It works GREAT. I live in tx and it gets ho here, thing stays cool with the ac on no sweat with a small crappy fan.

The stock sc radiators suck.

Thanks for the help.. But trust me im not that little this is my facebook mark slapah*****h checc me on that and let me know if im that little lol i know that kid but that deff isnt me im 250 lbs that kid is like 100 lbs
