hey CL, i need new tail lights cuz mine are cracked. Sadly I cannot replace with oem 97's because im not made of money and would rather use the money for performance. I have a amazon gift card and noticed they sell the spyder altezza tails, but im having a hard time deciding between the chrome and the black ones.

Does anyone have any pictures of either (preferably black) tail lights installed? I have a black sc with chrome trim, any suggestions?

dnt do it unless u get the black ones and tint them. then they might be passable.

how much are they. i think u can get used stock ones for dirt cheap.

 

$130 for altezzas
~$200 for used 97+ tails
$300 for new 97+ tails

i dont know what $70 will buy you performance wise

they are like 120 and my card is for 80, i could buy speakers instead too cuz my back ones went out. where is a good place to look for 97+ tails? will the altezzas really look that ****ty? im assuming thats why there are no pics of them lol. I kno 70 wont buy me much, but its 70 more than i had before in the turbo fund.

lol ok ok its apparent im not allowed to buy the altezzas. i just wish 97's werent so much. ill keep saving and keep an eye out for some used ones. they arent top priority but they are only getting worse. probs just buy some speakers off amazon.

I know your talking about the "spider altezza" lights which i think are rather ugly but i have seen a members car here who has the "altezza red smoke" ones sold on amazon and they are the best looking tails I've seen on a black sc.

I know this is all opinion and 97+ seems to be the popular opinion but i actually prefer the 95's to the 97's.

Then again i preferred the 91 NSX tails to the 2002+'s so i know i don't usually share the popular opinion when it comes to tails.

To me busy doesn't = better. I prefer the simplest and cleanest and imo those are the "altezza red smokes" on amazon. Just my opinion though.

If you ask me spend that $80 Amazon gift card on a roof spoiler.

 

Dude's got the right idea. Don't ruin an SC with ugly-*** altezza tails, lol. Save for some factory ones or something similar. Aftermarket tails almost always look crappy and never fit/work as well as OEM.
