Default Powersteering pump re-seal

Has anyone re-sealed powersteering pump successfully without replacing with new ones??
Price difference is a big so I'm leaning towards re-sealing.

I bought a pair of the 8797 seal kits. During the installation in the first power steering pump, I learned the seal kit includes a bearing cover but NOT the bearing. If your problem does not involve the bearing then the $17 kit (Amazon) and an hour or so of your time is a good way to go.
