Someone posted that in 97 there were only 120 , 5 speed manual SC's made. Where do you go to find this type of information? I have a 94 SC300 with a 5 speed and i have never even seen another 5 speed in a SC---all are automatics. My 2nd cousin ordered this car her senior year of high school --new-- from the Lexus dealer and the story goes is that the salesman had to look it up to see if a manual transmission was even an option !!!

 

I read that it was not until 97 that a 5spd was offered. Maybe a swap?

omg im super excited another user with a 1994 sc300 manual.. your the only one i have met with a 94!!! 227 manual sc's were made in 1994.

5 speeds weren't very common either, but if it was any year under 97 it was a plus. Having a 97 5 speed is like a trophy, it just became a known fact lol. You could always do a manual swap, but its just so much better if your car came with it so you wouldn't have to worry about so much to make the manual swap work out.

 

Maybe I'm slightly spoiled because mine is manual, but I couldn't imagine driving this car with an automatic transmission.

 

The manual transmission changes the personality of the car especially with aftermarket exhaust

 

I see the options/colors/etc... in the pdf file, but it doesn't show the number if vehicles equipped with them. Where is that at? Or am I missing something?

You know whats rare... a 94 sc400, slicktop, black interior, 5 speed and single turbo. There is only 1 that I know of. Well almost!

the 1 of 120 i think are the rarest!
