I wonder if someone more electronically inclined than me could rig up a system on a relay or timer that would automatically run these for like 45 seconds after the lock solenoids have gotten power. That way they could be used with a factory system.

Thoughts?

Excellent mod. As soon as I fix couple things on my sc, I'm gonna get aftermarket alarm with led set up!! Looks awesome.

Very nice mod!!! I never thought of using the dome controll of an aftermarket alarm for something like this. This setup could very well be used for a puddle light setup as well

+1. I'd be very interested in this as I dont have plans to install an aftermarket alarm. Stock keyless entry is perfectly good.

Looks good bro. It's been done a few times on here before, even with a DIY I think, but I can't recall if it were a white car and white light or blue or what. I like the white on white best.

For people wanting a timed system you can simply buy a timed relay. They are made just for this stuff.
