My SC400 is SILVER SPRUCE METALLIC. I can't decide what tint (if any) will look right on my car. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have already spoke to a lot of local places and they themselves aren't sure what would reallly look right. So, if anybody has any pics or what not I would like to check it out.

hey Vinnie, how's the tinting restriction in NJ? I'm sure you are tinting all 4 windows but how dark are you planning to tint?

 

Can't go wrong with dark smoke. It looks good on any car, no matter the color.

 

I can care less about what the law in NJ is. I get those Special Inspections done ................but I just wasn't sure if black would look right or not

 

Black is the only color tint that I think looks good, period.

I hope kieth doesnt mind but hes got on mean tint on his car. Just look at this....doesnt get much better than this. I got black tint on my car too. Best mod IMO

 

Actually a metallic finish like the RX300s come with stock *might* look good, but black is always a safe bet.

 

Personally, I dont think black would look good on spruse. My car is spruse and with polished silver rims black would look hideous. I think that a light mirror tint would look good. Nothing extreme, but some sort of greenish color with some mirror to it would look good, in my opinion.

 

I've had tint on my car ever since I bought it 3-4 years ago. It's pearl white as most of you know and the black tint is bubblin' up and looks REALLY disgusting!!

I like the RX300 tint you mentioned Rich...does anyone know what to request to get that same look? I think that's the next thing to be done to my car because you can't drive around with bad tint on a LEX!!

Your tint doesn't have lifetime warranty? Find a place in Socal that carries Llumar tint and ask for the metallic finish, not just metallic tint because all their tints have metal in them.

 

There was a pretty big thread on the RX forum about that metallic green tint. Its a llumar tint. The details are in these threads

That tint looks awesome on my moms RX but I've never seen a tint like this on a SC. I wonder what it would look like. I think it would look pretty good with a spruce green SC though.
