What options for manual transmission did they sc300/400 get in north america?

I have a JZX100 here in Canada and am in the process of trying to find a R154 with Remote shifter but an unaware of where I can find one?

I'm told sc300s need the remote shifter as well when you guys are doing the conversions? Where do you get your trans from ?

people use a soarer r154, mk3 r154, or the stock w58.

I believe the mk3 r154 does not come with the remote shifter. The r154s that came with the remote shifters are 2nd generation and i believe it never came out available in the US. The only remote shifter that came out in the US is the W58 and does not work with the R154.

In what i can recall the r154 remote shifter only came out on the JZZ30 soarers, and jzx90s...100s..and so forth.

You wont find much parts for the R154 w/ remote shifter here in the US, but the minor parts off the w58 may work; i own a R154 w/remote shifter and finding parts in extremely difficult to impossible and i had no choice but to order parts directly from japan.

 

Yeah seems to be the way to go. I've got the entire shifter assembly parts numbers so trying to get a good hook up with toyota oem parts.

Other than that, I might look into Z33 transmission swap.
