Are you saying they are incredible seats and we should consider installing them in our SCs?

...? If you want to install them in your car, just do it. More than likely they won't be a direct fit.

i was just wondering if anyone had done it or has pictures of how they look there's a torn set on fleebay for pretty cheap. i wouldn't want to get them and find them being uncomfortable or ugly in the car. They seem to be pretty hard to come by too.

^ those are RX8 seats.

i've had several RX7s (two FDs) and the FD seats are very good - good support, slim, comfortable, sporty, etc.

they are similar to the supra seats, but a little lighter/slimmer.

rx7 seats are nice and should fit as the SC is larger inside than the FD.
Shouldn't be any more difficult than any of the other non supra seat swaps.

Oops, I replied before my coffee kicked in Yep, those were RX8 seats and not RX7.

Your nick has VR4 in it -- 3kGT seats are mighty comfy too but they require an outboard control for the side bolster adjustment instead of having it all built into the seat.

Im wondering this also...
I thought it the other day, that RX7 seats look somewhat like the Supra seats, having that arched headrest.
I like that look, I think it suits the SC perfectly; so I'd like to see what it looks like (Tan).
Hell, if you guys are saying they're even lighter than Supra seats, why hasn't it been done already?
Maybe I'll be the first, 'cus lighter is better.
A pic would be great however.

I don't know if they have been before in the SC, but they look appealing to me just like the Supra seats. Whats wrong with the stock ones you have now? The seats will fit, but the rails from the stock SC will prolly have to be cut and welded onto the new RX-7 ones.

Fine by me, I just want them in my car.
Nothings wrong with my OEM seats (and I mean nothing; not a single tear), it's just that they're heavy, and they look too luxurious, and square, whereas the the Supra/Rx7 seats look sporty, and better suited to match the curves of the SC; in fact, I think they're the seats the SC "should have" come with, but didn't.
Lastly, weight reduction...
