Default Reading Codes

I haven't seen anything here about reading the codes on SCs. My Ford van OBD I codes can be read with the check engine light by putting a jumper in the diagnostic plug. I have a cheap actron code reader, but find it easier to sit in the seat and do it with the check engine.

I'm guessing my 94 SC3 will be OBD I also. Do codes have to be pulled with a reader, or is it possible to use a jumper and the check engine light?

My 93 is OBD1. Gotta jump different terminals for different things. Different things will blink depending on what you're checking/jumping, gotta count blinks. Service manual would be helpful

The OBD1's can usually be found under the hood or under the steering wheel to the left, right underneath where you pop your hood/trunk
