Unhappy Clunk noise when braking

Every time when I back up my SC400 and apply the brake. I heard clunk noise in front end.

I checked the brake pad and the shim are good. Not lose at all.
I also notice that the caliper guide are slightly lose, but not sure is that cause it or some bushing.

I have the same thing, pretty sure it's the brake pads shuffling in the calipers,if that's the case, then no worry.I thought it might be the control arm bushings, like someone mentioned, but there was no sign of any contact in that area, even though they were shot.Just replaced the lower control arm bushings yesterday, but didn't notice the noise, will check tomorrow AM and see.

I get the same "clunk" but only when I'm backing and turning at the same time. I had a pretty reliable mechanic looking at it today. We found the right front bearing is loose., I'm going to have it replaced,,,,,soon! i can't stand crazy noises in my Lex !

Clunk while braking is definately a worn bushing somewhere in front end.

Might want to do a search using the word clunk.

For me, I got the whiteline control arm bushings and no more clunk. I had the same symptoms before.
