Default What to replace rear seats with

Today I removed my rear seats to wire up my sound system. While doing that I figured nobody sits in the backseats anyway why dont I just keep em off, their torn any how. But instead of having nothing I also thought of building something custom to go in that space or at least cover up the metal.

I thought of carpeting the rear with the trunk carpet material, ill keep that as a last resort. I also thought of building a bar, but dont believe its a good idea to drink while driving (Im not a soda guy either) lol.

I read around about having amps and subs etc but thatll be too loud and too expensive, no need for that much sound.

Any ideas? Whats your thoughts?

If you had a few girls back there this wouldn't be an issue.

Fish tank! Lol

I was actually debating im doing a customer enclosure similar to the white sc430 within this forum. Still having sexy leather abound, but with a twist. You could even construct it so that you can still "sit back there". . Lol. Do you have a young child, or a handsome lap dog? They may fit back there ? :-)

LMAO OLT good point but i dont think the wifey will be too thrilled about it ><

Trunk access is not needed Im using the stock sub so plenty of trunk room. a fish tank? hmmmm dont think theyll survive. No children and defo no pets allowed in the car lol

I was looking at DIY fiberglass boxes and perhaps rewire the speakers there instead of their original locations, maybe even replace em with the 6x9's and add the 6 1/2's from the old car.

I done audio dynamics in my studio minus the fiber glass and music sounds like an opera hall from where I sit, kind of tempting.

Or something to do with photography just cant figure out what. heh

DJ XO: What SC430 are you talking about? Id like to see a pic maybe ill get inspired.

Thanks for the replies

^^ i saw the thread that 430 is gangster...

to tye Op i seen ppl remove just that part that ur back touches and leave the seat part so that ppl can still sit. lay a sheet of wood and make cut outs for speakers, tv's, etc... the possibilities are endless although i wouldnt do it...lol

this is somewhat of an off the wall idea but just throwing it out there. carpet the bottom and firewall. then if you have a nice set of wheels you can buy another, build some kind of mount, mount it and showcase it. can double as the spare too. i dont know about cost and the wheel actually fitting back there, but just a brainstorm response.

I just saw that thing, its a beast !!!!

on a side note I wouldnt put tv's in the back, whos gonna watch them? lol... and if that shower scene comes on Im sure I wont be watching the road heh heh

I just might put the bench without the back, less work space to build within. I still dont think anybody is riding in the backseat, heh or anywhere really

LMAO i like that wheels idea, believe it or not I actually thought about it in case I pop 2 or 3 tires say on the way to miami, wifey said i dont deserve the car and to stop messing around put the seats back on lol

in all honesty I havent built something in a long time so Im looking forward to build something custom for that area. *going to lowes*

what about losing the driver side passenger seat and building a box attaching to the firewall with a 12'' in it . im thinking bout doing it to mine since im 6'3'' and no one can sit behind me . cut the seat and wrap that edge around to make make it a single side piece
