Ouch man, I am glad youre ok seeing that gas tank only a few feet away could have resulted in an explotion and things could have gone in worse direction.
God was with you and the dog, but not the car.
If you dont want to do the body work find a clean shell and swap the parts start over
I would opt to do the body work... Seems as the chassis is str8 then just do the body work.. I'm sure you can find a fender in the same color and maybe a rear quarter... Where I am you can get quality body work and paint cheaper. It seems less hassle to just get the body work done and be back on the road... However, if you feel better with swapping to another shell then go for it... I'm in the same predicament I have front end damage, I need to change the radiator support and what's not but I have a whole shell... RHD Soarers... Shell is a 92 and My Soarer is a 95... Leaning towards fixing more than swapping... Pretty sweet XXR 527's... Whatever you decide i'm sure it will come out great again...
****k dude glad ur ok, should have clipped the dog at least.. gah id be ****in pissed at that stupid ****in dog.. find whos dog it is and make them pay..
I don't know if it is any help but there is a 92 SC400 near Portland Oregon for $995 for sale. It's not black and not close to you, but complete and for sale now. Good luck.
lol at the hitting the dog comments... i think the ASPCA is gunna go after everybody on this thread just for saying that.
Glad to hear ur str8 bro and u did the right thing. Plenty of ppl have hit animals and ended up in way worse accidents. it could have gone either way. Point is u went with ur gut instincts and ur sitting at ur computer scratch free telling us ur story. Thats wat matters.
lame man, sorry to hear about your car, and i cant believe how close you where to that tank. thank god you and your boys came out alright. good luck with the repairs.
