They are great for interstate driving because they keep the paint clean.
BUT....NEVER use them full time because when it rains the water carries dirt and other particles between the bra and the paint of the car. The water dries and the dirt is left behind. Now you have sandpaper effect on the paint in a less radical form but still it is bad.
If you garage the car 100% of the time and it never goes out in the rain I guess you could slap a bra on there full time but in the city it is really not needed most of the time.

I was gonna say the exact same thing. I've heard stories of cars (not SC's) paint being ground down to bare metal..
