Default Amsoil Change Interval

I just put Signature Series 100% Synthetic Oil 0w30, with the Amsoil Filter, they say it can last for 15k or a year whichever comes first. I'm kind of iffy about the filter though, any thoughts on this? maybe changing at 7500 oil and filter or changing filter at 7500 and running oil till 15k?

i'd start with changing at 5k. if the oil comes out clean then you can do what you want. 15k OR 1 year? Thats an interesting claim.

Amsoil stopped making Lexus/Toyota filters for awhile (mostly because they couldn't claim a year's worth of service with some sludge prone 1.8 lt. four cyl engines) but I guess they're back if you got one.

No need to change the oil early if you get your oil analyzed. It'll let you know the condition of the oil, the level of contaminants and any unexpected problems like coolant or excessive metal in suspension. I work at a railroad, the locomotive oil is always sent out for analysis. Why change it if it's still good?
