SC400 2jgte help needed please read.
Alright so picked up this sc400 with a Arristo 2j swap and doesn't run. Prior owner had bad head gasket. He took the car to a shop locally and had the head fixed blah blah blah. Owner picks car up runs ok drives less than 30 miles car overheats and so owner turns off car and goes to side of road. Now what happened was the front of the water pump broke off (the car did have clutch fan still)and fan and pump go into the radiator. Now car overheats melts a coil pack and end of story.
Now I buy the car now sitting out front. My guess car didn't overheat enough to blow head again I hope not anyways (comp test not done yet). Now I put the coils in the car yes even the bad one and tried to star it to see if it will even crank over at all and well kinda. Turned the engine over enough to backfire a few times and besides that nothing.
Now there are 4 wires at the end of the coil wires tears the back of the motor and there cut? Where do they go will post pics in a sec!
If anyone here has an Arristo,sc400, supra wire diagram book I will buy!

I'm not surprised he got a BHG. Look at the radiator setup. Welded Cap to Waterneck
1) Pull the harness and fix it. Remove any corroded wires. Solder new pins on. Replace broken connectors. The Works!!!
2) Fix the cooling. Buy an unmolested waterneck. Get a PROPER SC300 or MKIV Supra radiator. Legitimate fans. Preferably clutch fan or IS300 electric fans.

That's what happen when people start messing stuff and don't know WTH they are doing, at the end they sell the stuff for a penny .
first of all you need an SC300 radiator, TT fan blade, Sc300 fan shroud , remove the harness , buy new coils connectors like other have said get rid off the BS crap the previous owner had installed on the car.
