Default FYI: Coilover Rebuild

This is just an FYI post. I recently bought a used set of Toms Advox coilovers for the SC400 and found the ride to be really harsh. After reading some stuff online I found a place over in Azusa, CA called Randy's Offroad that will refill Nitrogen on the spot or even do a rebuild on the coilovers. However, your shocks need to be equipped with Schrader valves for them to work on them. I just had them refill the shocks up with nitrogen at 93lbs., it was $40. The drive home was so much more comfortable that I was amazed. It's not a complete fix and I'm sure I still need a rebuild, but damn it'll work for now. Anyways, the guys were really good to deal with. Be sure to raise your cars up a bit to make it up their driveway(my front bumper sits around 4.5" off the ground and I made it). Their number is 626-252-3566.

If they don't rebuild the Toms there you can take them Feals Suspension in Ontario, Ca. They refilled all 4 of my coilovers with nitrogen and rebuilt 2 of them for $100 each. They have great customer service. 2-3 days turn around as they were waiting on the seals to come in.

I just looked mine up and it specifically stated that it had schrader valves on it. It almost looks like a tire valve made in metal with a cap on it. Mine is located near the botton of the shock on the side.

Didn't know it was making that big of a difference in harshness with no nitro in the suspension.
I wish my ride wasn't as soft ...
