Default Need Help with Fan Issue

Hey Guys,
If you all have been following my thread I got my car back YESTERDAY! After a few weeks of it sitting and waiting for the tune. So I thought I would take it out for a spin tonight just because the weather was really cool and my car pulled great! Well about 40 minutes into driving my temp gauge goes crazy high, so I shut off the the and pull into a bank parking lot.

Long story short, both my fans are shot, something had grounded something that was not supposed to be. I got the car home back in the garage safely, but now heres the big issue. Whats a good fan that is affordable, I cant buy Flex-a-Lights right now because $$$ is tight, and yes I did do a search.

Thanks Guys,
Jo

You are better off switching back to the fan/clutch assembly. There's really no need to run electric fans on these cars unless you're trying to clean up the engine bay.

good fan alternative however research showed initial startup pulled 90amps..

I am running dual Hayden fans on my car.. Cooling is on point thus far even in the NYC heatwave we experience every now and again during the summer months. During the cooler months, it should be even better. I ended up going e-fans since two clutches decided to crap out on me making my car sound like a f'n big rig..

note: I do run them with constant power currently as my switch burned out on me.

Stock fan is a good thing to have in cases like these as a backup.

Will the SC400 Clutch fan work with my 1JZ? I have a MK4 Supra Mishimoto radiator too.

Dude go to the Junk yard and get yourself a 2jzge Fan Clutch. or just buy a new one and get your stock fan. If oyu go to the junk yard it will take you as long as it takes to remove 4 bolts. and vuala you have a clutch fan again and it pulls air.
BTW: 1 big fan usually pulls more air then 2 medium or Large. i ran dual 14 inch fans on my Gs300 and had no problems but with my Drift car i run the Stock Fan clutch and Fan, with Mishimoto MK$ radiator. I never went above 190 Degrees at the Last Drift Day in Vegas. it was 124 degrees that day on the Track.
