Exclamation Dead Instrument Cluster

I tried searching but had no luck.

The instrument cluster on my 95 SC400 was working perfectly fine until yesterday. At the moment no needles are functioning, no gauges lighting up, time & mileage shows up as a bunch of 8's.

Lights like Cruse Control, Trac, etc light up perfectly fine, even when shifting it lights up properly on the instrument cluster. But when I turn the ignition on to the first setting the time does show up properly.

So far I tried replacing the 10A Gauge fuse, no luck.
Even tried hitting the dash in hope of everything working, no luck with that either.

What can I do to fix this problem if their is a fix?

I've only seen that once in 8 years on here and there was no fix posted from a follow up. I'd remove the cluster completely and reinstall it to see if it resets the processor inside.

Thanks for the reply, I shall try reinstalling the cluster. If not I guess I'll have to get another one, maybe it's time I get a 98+ cluster & gated shifter

A little update on the situation....

The instrument cluster started working randomly for 10-20 seconds at a time, this happened 2 times. It did function properly aside from the needles not lighting up.

So MAYBE the problem is a loose connection behind the cluster, haven't had much time lately to work on the cluster but sometime this week I should.

Hopefully I can get it working

Late reply but last week I took care of the issue which was the loose ground screw behind the headunit, as mentioned above. Now my dash is working flawlessly once again

Thanks for the replies everyone!
