sound system problems
hi i have a 4 channel amp audiobahn dubmag series and my factory sub still connected to my factory amplifier any ways i have some mbquart 6.5 compenents in the back and my factory nakamichi 4inch rounds in the doors except my tweeters they keep blowing out! I put bass blockers on them my amp is on high pass filter and still all my tweeters last a day or 2 and thats it why does this keep happening i heard the sc's have they're own crossvers in the door i see how the tweeter and mids are completely wired apart so can anyone help?? Ps its only the door tweeters that this happens too just the door tweeters

i could possibly help need a lil more info tho,
are u running ur 4ch from the stock head unit?
if u are, how are you getting the signal to the amp?
if not, how did u run the wires to ur speakers?
the best way to do it on a 4 ch is run all aftermarket wire straight to the speaker itself, reduces interference, and less possibilty of short and over power.
if your running a 4ch and have good speakers the need of tweeters is irrelevant cuz u shuold get clear quality frm ur 4 speakers so jus take them out?
if you do wish to keep them ull need to take ur door panel off and see where your tweeter wires are going, its been a while since ive looked but i think the door speaker and tweeter has the same input wire so ur amp will blow them, ull need to check for a short or hard wire them with your amp and use the convetor for highs in the hard line
hope tht made sense if not i can break it down a lil more wen i get sum more info

I'm not going to read the whole thing but here's my 2psi...
Your front speakers do not have crossovers that will help reduce the frequencies that go to each speaker. This makes sure you don't push 60 hz through a speaker the size of a silver dollar. "Bass blockers" are pretty much like cheap, terrible bandaids that actually make your wound take longer to heal.
Swap your components to the front, make sure to wire them up to their crossovers and put coaxials in the rear. Problem solved.
Oh yeah, get a new headunit and ditch the old *** stock one. Hi-Lo Converters are a step above "Bass Blockers"

The problem is that the oem nak speaker were only built to handle a certain amount of power and a certain frequency range which your aftermarket 4 channel is exceeding. And BTW, the correct term is bottoming out not blowing out

The oem nak speakers do have crossovers, they're inside the woofer enclosures.

u can get tweeters designed to handle more power (rockford fosgate, pioneer kenwood) they make good lil speakers for higher power and a bass blocker will help jus not alot, but like stated above, find urself a nice headunit, kenwood excelons are nice and come with pre amp sub out and also rca high out tht would go ur 4 ch amp so u ud remove the need of hi/lo convertors
and since ur running a high to lo convertor ur amp, ur sending mainly bass signal to the speakers which is also making your tweets bottom out

Don't just buy tweeters. Buy a component set. Because you will not be able to effectively limit the frequencies going to the front speakers if you try to run tweeters and front speakers alone. That's what the crossover is for
I never said they were great, just that they exist
My suggestion? Get a set of aftermarket speakers. Depending on your budget, anything from Focal will sound phenomenal, even the Access series

why keep old worn out low power stock speakers in the front where all your sound stage comes from??? and trust me the first thing you want to do is get a new head unit. then get a set of components for the front. then a new sub then a new sub amp.lol.......basically if you want better sound the stock setup has to go completely.
