Default lets talk LCA bushings

Just looking for a little more insight on dealing with the LCA's...mine are shot almost like my steering rack bushings i posted like some of us i dont have 500 plus to shell out right for new ones so i wanted to pull them out and used some polyurethane ones which would save me ton and help my car ride much better...my question is what kind of life can i expect out of the ball joints with my car having 150,000 and being the original LCA's.....should do the poly's or just hold out and buy new LCA as the ball joints may not have much life left in them??

Ball joints doesn't really go out in a certain amount of time. It really depends how you drive it.

just check the ball joint, and if they're good, just invest in bushings. It's $50 for a whole front end poly bushing kit, so even if your ball joints do go out sometime in the future, it's not like you lost a whole lot of moneys.

its not worth it to change the bushings because if those are bad your ball joints will most likely be bad aswell and those are non replaceable. so your best bet would be to order new control arms off a mkiv supra, the 97+ models had aluminum control arms that save 7lbs of unsprung weight
