Seems the P, N, and R lights (not the red LED's, the ones that actually light the letters) are bright on the display next to automatic shifter...but that the fourth one down (the D) is a little dimmer than those 3...and the bottom 2...I think L and 2...are real dim, dimmer then all 4.
Is this supposed to be that way?

 

If you've ever pulled your centre console apart you'd see a clear perspex film covering the lights for the letters, and on that perspex film the lower gears are shaded slightly restricting the light. You could just take that peice of plastic out and all your gear lights will be just as bright.
