so i clipped the cornering light plugs off, and spliced on some HID connectors cuz im going to be doing a projector retrofit into them, and now my blinkers dont work...i mean nothing at all, no sound, no lights, nothing....what happened? if its because i snipped the front, when i do the retro fit i will most likely wire it to an independent switch so how can i get them to still work if i do that? wire them into the side marker lights? thats what im guessing i would need to do, any help will be just peachy!!! thanks
It depends, some are burned out, but some just shorted. Have you tried reconnecting the wires you disconnected? I'm not sure if the number of bulbs matter, because if you see the relay it says up to 4 bulbs can be plugged to it, so that might be the case, but normally if it senses that there's a bulb missing the blinking would go faster. But it's a pretty good idea to replace it since our cars are pretty old and you can buy the electronic ones so you can also use it if you're planning on changing the bulbs to LED.
