Default projector retro fit

ive been searching the last hour and for some reason can only find a 97 plus retro fit DIY for putting a projector in the fogs. i have a 1992, and have an 3000k HID kit, and it looks stupid when i have those in my cornering lights...ive heard of a few guys doing the projector thing into the cornering lights...anyone have pics? diy? where i should get them? use the blazer ones? is300 fogs? es300 fogs? i just need to see if its worth it, if not im gonna return this HID kit...thanks for the help!!!

Xenon depot has a lot of options. Most people do the TSX conversion

^TSX for fogs? never seen that before

I actually never came across some who did a retrofit for pre-97 fogs/cornering lights.
closest thing i've seen is people rewiring 92-94 cornering lights as "fog lights".

if you do decide to do a retro, think you will need to deline the lens as well for better output

I've collected spare 95-96 fog light housings to retrofit a small projector before I upgraded the front bumper to 97+. I've opened the housing and test fitted mini morimoto projector to come to a conclusion that housing is just too small and awkwardly shaped to make it work. There isn't enough depth to the housing to cleanly install projectors of decent size/output.

If anyone is set on retrofitting the pre 97 fogs, one option is to leave the lense/cover off the housing and fabricate bezel/shroud around the projector and let projectors protrude beyond the housing line. Since blazer projectors are weather resistant, they may be the best option.

Post up your result if you decide to proceed on retrofitting.

My bad I missed the fogs part. I know that the older ES300 fog projectors were yellow if you're interested in going that route

Yea i want that yellow fog look so thats why i went with 3000 k. Im gonna look around some junk yards. When i find some im gonna dremel the cornering lights and deline the lens. I will definently post up a lil diy. Junkyard should be cheap, i found blazers for 75. I also found a cheap set of projector lens for h3 bulbs for 15 each on ebay haha im a little nervous about it tho

If you can wait, I'm doing a write-up on my es300 fog light retrofit in my 93 SC. I should have it done within the next couple weeks. I'm using Audi A6 fog projectors inside the es300 housing instead but mounting will still be the same.

I picked up the es300 fogs for $20 and the the Audi A6 fogs $10 (no housing ) at a junk yard. Add that with the price of all the materials, about $50-$60 give or take.

Tell ya what MrHimbert, since you've given me some much needed motivation and I'm extremely bored, I'll go ahead and get it done today. If everything goes according to plan I should have it posted up either tonight or tomorrow. In the meantime, if you want to go ahead and start collecting materials here's what you'll need:
*1, 8"x10" sheet of lexan or acrylic (lexan is stronger and more durable but more expensive).
*1, 1/2" wide x 1/8" thick (any length +6") piece of aluminium (home depot and ace hardware sells it)
*a tube of rtv clear silicone
*a box of 1/2" #2 phillips self tapping screws
*dremel

Btw what kind of hid bulbs did you get, ie. H3, H1, 880, ect.?

Check out "the retrofit source" that's the place I was thinking about yesterday. They have full kits. I saw a blazer kit briefly when I looked on their site
