So I've been leaking transmission fluid on my sc300. It's I change the rear oil seal, and the o-ring gasket on the sensor located on drive side just above the transmission drain plug(don't know what that sensor is). I bought The redline fluid and I don't want to be constanly pouring more fluid everytime cause it's expensive. It drips down to my exhaust and it smells. Anyone had have this kind of problems? The great oil seal only cost $10. I don't want to spend +$200 to throw it in the shop. So if any fellow soarer members here can help , it wound be appreciated.

the transmission havent been touch with, besides the lighten fly wheel that makes the chatter noise at low rpm.. I wipe down the leaks over and over, its gotta be coming from the rear oil seal, when i take it up to high rpms, i can smell the strong odor thats burning for my exhaust.
I just got done installing a new seal, sorry i already install a new seal from the r154, if it continues to leak, i will install a w58 seal instead, i didnt know that it would work for the r154.. but thanks ya for helping a fellow soarer owner. i will keep ya posted on what the outcome is.

I know i am not crazy and am not the only one that have that issue.
Dude i went thru the same stuff you are going thru, high rpm 150mph the seal will blow out and then i got gear oil on the tires and no traction going side ways trying to keep the car straight not fun it happened to me about 5 or 6 times.
Try replacing the breather valve or installing another one on the trans.
Here is what i would do take the trans out and get it rebuild by a professional if you don't have a breather VALVE get one installed , I had 2 valve on mine still blew the seal out.
You can try the W58 seal , but it didn't work for me.

Thanks for the tip.. Yeap, I left the car sit for a good 12 hour solid and
It's still slowly leaking. I guess I'll try the w58 seal.. Damn another quart of rt90 wasted... When your talking abut breather valve, your talking about the
One that goes on the engine correct? Just so were on the same page... Thanks for all the help fellas.

i think he means breather on the trans. i dont see why the engine one would matter.
this guy seems to think the aftermarket seals are better than the dealers. couldn't hurt to try.
I would buy them from diff places and use the thickest one that will still fit on the output shaft.

the oil does matter, i used all types of oil, 80w90, 75w90, redline MT90 , royal Purple lol it's not the seal. It's the tranny.
your trans sounds like it needs a rebuild, mostly bearings will cause that issue as the output shaft is moving around under load.

might want to check the abs sensor on the side of your tranny
mine was doing the same thing
i would do some highway driving and play around and all i would smell is oil
turned out to be the freeze plug that was in my abs sensor spot blew out
