Default Transmission Fluid Leak

I have a 1995 GS300 with 177,000 miles that has a transmission fluid leak. Is it common with this kind of mileage? If so, what is the remedy?

Most likely the gasket is dried up or the "O" ring is to dried, or the plug is bad.

This is what i recommend... clean the bottom of the transmission, and figure out where is it leaking from... if is leaking from the pan, i recommend to replace the gasket, filter, and add new trans fluid.

If u got it serviced by someone not so long ago, is most likely they used a bad gasket, or failed to placed it correctly...

Try to use: " Beck/Arnley Transmission FIlter Kit" and get the fluids from your toyota dealer.. do not use those generic fluids from autozone... the dealer fluid is pretty cheap.. $5 to $6 a quart..

To remove the pan, get all the screws around the pan, and you might have to loosen the trans dip stick holder.

Thanks for all your help. It turns out that I had a broken hose.
