I read someone who had a '92 sc400 (like I've got, recently picked up) had problems shifting out of 2nd gear. Then, I wanted to post about the reason I read researching this car prior to buying that '92s had a possibility for this problem related to the circuit or chip which is part of the CPU electronics of the transmission. I had read about it and then read I think here someone had that problem but didn't go through the registration process and all to post about it back then.
My nice Lex sc400 '92 with 87k was KEYED badly - two times in the last several days. I am demanding surveilance at my apartment building and got the extra insurance for vandalism and stuff.
