alright! nm.... lol... 300 bucks for the bearings,... the ones for my tc are like 40 bucks :-(

Just gotta be very carefully when doing bearing work. You also run a risk of damaging the hub while you're at it. Just did a bearing and hub about two weeks ago. It ran nearly $200 for a bearing and hub for a Supra, that was with a friend's discount. It's gonna cost more for an SC.

If you're replacing bearings alone, you can get them for $60 each from either Timken or Koyo.

had my bearings done a week ago for my sc. 180 for labor + parts for the rears, and it would've cost me 140 for labor + parts for the fronts. I would've done it myself but I have no access to a press.

Hey guys, I talked to somebody in Autozone, and I just found out that you can buy an LS brake calipers then return your SC calipers for the core charge to be refunded. It's better than getting one in a pick-your-parts since you still have to rebuild the calipers to make sure they're not seized. And after returning your calipers and get your refund back you end up paying $65.99 only each calipers.

Yep, ..thats what I did. They dont know the difference, anyway.

I wouldnt recommend returning the stock rotors for the ls ones at the vatozone, just in case you want to sell the car and wanted to put them back on.
The ls400 calipers are all over junk yards for 50 to 60$ a pair, which makes no brained for an upgrade. Rotors are usually 40$ each and 45-50 for decent set of pads. Haven't tried putting stock wheels on though...

I don't really care about the stock brakes, they're really sucky, and I have no intentions on selling this ride, I'm already 6G's deep in it, so no sense in selling it. And like what I said, it's nonsense to even buy LS brakes from a junkyard since you still need to rebuild it just to make sure the pistons are not seized up and I'm not planning on using stock LS rotors as well, I'm upgrading to a BBK so why not go for a drilled and slotted already? Get what I'm saying? If you're gonna do something, do it right the first time, do it how you exactly want it and do it perfect. Just my opinion.

That I don't know, I'm pretty sure it doesn't. Do a quick search, I know I've seen alot of people done it with TT wheels using spacers.

TT wheels DO clear LS400 brakes.

Stop Tech drilled/slotted rotors and SS brake lines, Akebono Pro-ACT Ultra Premium ceramic brake pads are what I use.
