found it for ya. special thanks to CL member "933005spd"

cell removal..
I just pulled the factory cell out of my 93 300. The black box is removed by unscrewing the two phillips next to the lid hinge (the lid is attached to the box and it all comes out together).

then you remove the 3 10mm bolts in the bottom of the black box (these are under a black felt which covers the bottom of the box.

I pulled the whole box unit out and removed the phone parts. By unplugging everything from the control unit under the seat, I was able to easily pull the harnesses out. post again if you need help.

Unhappy what am I missing here?

do-luck, wtf am I missing here?

I pulled the two screws under the caps at the back of the center console, the ones under the little fuzzy black caps near the hinge, and also the two screws in the base for the phone's handset (I had long ago unplugged the handset but want to get the base out of the console box).

The box will not budge at all. Not a millimeter. It's like the screws were still there.

My car is a '93 SC4, auto of course, and your car is a 5speed, right? Maybe your console box is fastened in differently? Just reaching here - frustrated - would rilly like to free up the space too - any ideas? If anybody else reading this post has an auto and knows how to get the interior box out of the center console, help me out here!

<edit> My mistake, I see from your profile you have an SC4 too - please get back to me on this - thanks

<edit> oohhhhh waitaminnit - those 3 bolts have to come out too *from the inside of the box*, eh? Hidden under the fuzzy bottom panel? Ah HAH. Back down to the garage...

I can only locate 2 bolts under the felt on the bottom. Where is the third located? The thing just won't budge.
