I ordered them slotted and drilled thru ebay, because I could find them just drilled. I called to see when the ship date was, dude on the phone said they werent cut yet, I requested them not to slot them. I like the way they came out...
You went the opposite way in rotor design. Should have done slotted, if you were seeking a performance upgrade.
Correct, there was a time when heated gas were produced in friction material but that time has past. Slots are the true performance upgrade between the two; drilled is more of a bling factor.
Unless you track your car or your brakes are aggressively used, the average driver will never need slotted rotors. Drilling rotors do absolutely nothing to enhance performance, drilled rotors are actually more prone to heat spots and stress cracks.
If you do track your car, then a set of aggressive pads and slotted rotors would be the choice. Slots actually clean the friction material as the rotor surface rotates, barely shearing off a layer of pads material. Why is this an advantage? Under aggressively braking and loads, glazing can and will appear on the surface of a pad; therefore, slots help maintain a cleaner friction surface to adhere to the rotor.
I would never trust my life and those around me to some cheap rotors bought off ebay. The seller is just buying cheap no-name rotors and then drilling them to sell I'm sure. Also, I'm not sure if it is the pictures or not but the holes don't even looked spaced evenly or lined up correctly.
There's just to many of these to ever consider ebay drilled rotors.
This was done for bling only, i'm not seeking performance yet. The pads have a life time warranty, so when I need pads I'll replace the rotors at the same time...

wheres the prize for this guy?! r1concept rotors are a great value, cheap and reliable.

This description is so well written., it should be stickied!
Slotted evacuates brake dust at a faster rate and reduces the effects of water getting in-between the rotor and pad during that situation.
Drilled does the same just in a different fashion.
As far as the cracking goes...they aren't made for TRUE strip use (i.e. 50 laps on the same set of Rotors and pads) but around town and the occasional AutoX they'll do just fine (that is, with a GOOD brand). I had R1 Concepts on the Galant and was impressed with them for being a good price.
I wouldn't recommend doing ANY braking upgrade before doing Stainless Steal Braided Brake Lines WITH A COATING OF PVC OR SOME RUBBER AROUND THE LINE.
Then move on to rotors and pads but I promise you, the lines will 100% make the best improvement unless you're using $10 eBay pads and rotors. *cough* *cough*
