Ok so I have no vac leaks and my idle valve is working properly as well as intake is very clean so maybe I am over looking something here but when it warms up it seems to be fine but in the morning if I put it in gear it is almost like a "neutral drop" so I have searched alldata as well and no avl

No cel's or bending dtc'c either


Suggestions?

 

It may be helpful to list just how high the idle is.

 

ISCV can still act up even if it looks clean and gives proper resistance -- mines doing it right now even though it seemed okay. Are you 100% sure its working as specified?

Well I took it apart and cleaned it real good and so far it has been much better so I will update tomorrow after a cold start as that will be the real test.

youyr car will alwways idle high when cold--they all do it

what rpm's are u getting when cold?

 

1,800 when cold which is way to high but now it is holding 1,200 on cool starts.

It was so bad that I would sit and wait 10 mins before putting it in gear due to the fact that it was just a matter of time before it ripped my brand new trans mount out.

 

and whats the RPMs when its warm in park?

 

1800 is way too high----mine gets about 1200 on a cold start but im in canada
in florida you shopuldnt be getting those numbers

 

Before the second cleaning it was about 1200 in gear which of course is way to high now it seems to be 600-700ish in gear which is a 100% improvement from before but what stumps me is the fact that I cleaned it a month ago and there was no improvement but this time I took it all the away apart and that seemed to do the trick.

I hope someone can help me with an issue I have with my 92 SC400. I've had a misfire for a couple weeks now which I was told can be solved by doing a tune up. My car would normally start at 11-1200 RPM from a cold-start, but today I started it from cold and it was at 500 RPM and there is no change from 500 RPM. The car now will not maintain normal speed even when I floor it. There is no CEL on. Is this a cold start issue? I'll get the tune up to begin with and hopefully this cures the misfire and the unusual RPM I have. If anyone has any info about this issue I would really appreciate it.

 

how high does it "idle" when it's cold?

 

It idles at 500 rpms when cold, it would normally idle at 1000-1200 when cold and thats what worries me atm
