Default Brakes are dragging and hot.

Hi guys. I replaced my front pads and rotors without problems. Pistons slid back in when pushed. After driving a few miles I noticed my front passenger brakes was dragging and it was hot. The drivers side is fine. Dismantled it and re greased the pins, still the same. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. I have a 99 SC300.

You can try flushing out the brake fluid to see if that will free up the caliper movement but more then likely you have to rebuild or replace the caliper.

Caliper rebuild is fairly cheap and straight forward if it comes down to that

I would forgo rebuilding a caliper these days. Since remans can be had fairly cheap. A lot less time consuming as well. You can call up your local parts stores to see if they carry them or not, worst case go to the dealer.

go re-man, do a bake flush and maybe replace the hose due to the heat. Just check the hose to make sure its still good if you don't replace it.

I might go with a remanufactured one. It's only $60 at Autozone. All I need to do now is figure out how to replace it without screwing it up.

This is another case of the front right caliper seizing on the 300s. I think there's definitely a pattern but I'm not sure why.
