Default Front brake smoking and getting extremely hot

Hey everyone,

I just replaced all my brakes front and rear, rotors, pads, calipers, and break hoses, rear brakes are great front brakes the front left seems to be functioning normally, front right seems to be either not releasing or just not sure why, no issues with the old brakes at all, it smokes and gets extremely hot and the rim is also smokin hot, not sure if it could be a proportioning valve if there is one, the caliper comes off easy not stuck, pads are in correctly, clips are new, any help or input would be greatly appreciated, not drive-able at this point, gets to hot!

Thanks everyone

If everything is brand new, I'd check your installation over

Make sure your slide pins are free to move. Grease them up probably siezed up.

Resolved, the right hand caliper had the wrong top slide pin, it was the long one, changed it to the shorter one and its good to go, the drawbacks if buying aftermarket i guess, thanks for the responses

Glad that got fixed!

Sidenote, my rear 2IS brakes starting smoking after a new pad install and the new, thicker pads mixed with the seized rear calipers allowed for the pads to not release from the rotor surface. Almost destroyed new Axxis Ultimate pads and a new PowerSlot rotor!

Does the shorter pin also have a rubber bushing at the end?
