Default No power

Ok. My car sat while I was on vacation for 3 days. It's never gave me problems. When I went to start it the other day the battery was very low but not dead. I jumped it and let it run. When I turned off the car I had no problems. I did it on and off for hours. I let it sit over night. This morning it did it again. Low power, not enough to start and one single crank attempt. I said ok so I jumped it and went to Autozone. They said the battery was crap because of the super low cold cranking amps. I said ok again and got a new battery. I installed the battery and tried to crank it. I got and interior light but no beeping from the door being opened or dashlights. Of course that came with no start. I don't have a tester so I took the battery back to Autozone. It tested good. I bought a new connection and installed the battery again. Same thing. No crank, no fuel pump sound, nothing but the under dash lights. I even tried to jump it with my brothers minivan with a new battery. Nothing. Now I'm stumped. What could be wrong?

Are you getting a ticking noise like it wants to start. If not look at your starter.

Starter makes a tick but I am not getting dash lights, door ding or fuel pump. Just the underdash lights.

I just checked a few more things. My lights will not turn on but my brights work. My map lights work, my Ignition light and underdash lights work. My car will not go into gear with the key on and my foot on the brake. This sounds messed up.

If its still not starting try hitting the starter with a heavy screw driver or something. Sometime you can wack the solenoid enough to start and see whats the deal...which means u wud need a new one.

I donot think it's the starter because I'm not getting power to anything. I should at least get power to the tge fuel pump or I should be able to put it in neutral. I can't even do that.

You need to test voltage at two different spots. at the battery when it's hooked up, and another end point that power IS getting to (map light or such).... I'd take a guess and say the voltage difference between the two is more than a couple of volts, and see where it goes when you hit the key to start and hear the starter "click" and if it drops much more at that point, you sir are getting a bad connection.... That can mean corroded cable ends, bad cable, etc. Sound like a connection issue dropping voltage in the circuit.

Update. Autozone gave me the wrong battery. The terminals were on the wrong sides. I tool it back and got a new battery. I installed it and I still have nothing. I checked all of my fuses. I replaced the alternator fuse because it was bad. I still have no power. I can how ever turn on the brights and map lights. I'm thinking there is something big blown. Anyone have any ideas?

No one. I hope my ecu isnt blown. If it is I'll need a new one. On top of that it will need to be programed. This is just a big mess.

I know there is a way to check if your ECU is working. It has something to do with what icons light up on your instrument cluster when you put the key in. Maybe someone can post the info or you could probably find it in a search. Good luck bro.

The only thing that lights up is the door indicator. Nothing else does.

I had a friend that is an electrician by trade check things. He replaced a fuses that didn't look blown. They were. After replacing them and checking a few things it started right up. Now it's time for Autozone to pay for there mistake.
