I'm assuming the very next thing you installed was new bulbs correct? Also, how do the harnesses look? Any corrosion?
I have a similar issue with one of my license plate bulbs. It has never worked yet I've tried installing two different new bulbs. The actual harness looks fine and obviously if one works, it's not a fuse. Little electrical gremlins can be a pain in the neck sometimes.
Follow the yellow brick road slowly and I'm sure you'll catch the issue.
i had this problem on my car i went and got a multi meter (not hard to use) and just tested power and ground on each bulb plug... then went from there following the wires
What year tail lights do you have, and which bulb number is acting up?
Are they the 1157 (outside lights on 1992-1994)lights with positive and negative? I've *READ* on the 1992-1994 somewhere, "If there is not lighting after inserting it into socket, please change the terminal Oppositely."
But, the chances of you getting them both mixed up seem like horrible "luck". I'll look into it more if this does not help you.
ive swapped it tonight and nothing. ive also changed fuses, bulbs, brake switch, and the box it connects to. im dumbfounded. i hope its not the thing behind the fuse panel in drivers side footwell.
