Default Rear UCA

I've recently completed a complete rebuild of the Front Suspension on my 92 SC400:

New Supra LCA's from Carson Toyota
New Dorman UCA's from RockAuto
New KYB GR2 Struts
New OEM Rack w/ Inner Tie Rods
New Outer Tie Rods
New End Links
Vlamos Sway Bar Bushings

All is well with the Front, I'm very happy with the new ride quality. A little stiffer with the Supra LCA's and KYB struts but not rough which is what I wanted. I chipped away at it for about a year and now it's done.

Now I'm starting on the rear. I want to replace the Rear UCA but I'm just learning it's an expensive venture. It doesn't look like the Supra is the same for the rear. Looks like I may just end up doing the bushings.

For the lower rear I'm just going to sport the Megan Racing replacements:

Questions:

Are there any Toyota replacement options for the rear uca's like the front lower?

What else should be replaced / rebuilt in the rear?

BTW....In case your wondering why I'm doing all this, it's because I'm ****.

Wow, I'm in the process of overhauling my suspension as well...But I'm starting with the rear first since the front parts are expensive. I just ordered a pair of Megan rear toe arms as well.

Hi Jer Con,

How are the Dorman UCA's you got from RockAuto:

1. Quality?
2. Any installation issues?
3. Any alignment issues?

I want to do the same to my SC, thanks.

They seem to be of good quality. When I pulled my old front UCA they actually weren't that bad. Bushings and ball joints were still in good condition however after installing the new Dorman's I could really feel a difference in ride quality. Much smoother than before, no alignment issues whatsoever. I can drive with my hands off the steering wheel now. Installation was less than 30 minutes per side. On the drivers side you'll have to remove the washer fluid bottle, it gets in the way when you try to pull the long bolt out. Other than that no big deal really. I guess the real question would be how long will they last which of course remains to be seen.

The two biggest expenses were the Front LCA's and Rack. You can get the Supra LCA's out of Carson Toyota brand new for $199ea. As opposed to spending anywhere from $550ea - $650ea for Lexus OEM so that's a real $$ saver. The only real difference is the bushings which are of course stiffer and not as cushy as OEM. I spent the big bucks ($452.00) for a brand new OEM rack w/ inner tie rods but WOW, what a difference. I can feel where every penny of that money went.

Here's the Reciept. Talk to Jose Arana and show him this to get the price. I think I found mine on Ebay and referenced it but this should work.

OK, that makes sense if it was an ebay auction. I was looking at their trademotion site online. This is good to know

I bought them in 09 but they weren't installed until recently. I gathered all the parts I need for the front end and just did one big replacement job.

OK, from the sound of your original post, it seemed you had gotten them more recently. That not being the case though, I wouldn't assume that price is valid today.
