I'm looking at the Whiteline handling pack for the JZA80 Supra. Are the endlinks and busings compatible? Front and rear?

From what I've read, the rear subframe mounts will have to be changed to Supra mounts.

 

Anyone changed to Supra sway bars? Do the endlinks work?

Mine are stipped out and clunk over bumps, etc.

 

Endlinks are solid, and basically identical to the Supra pieces - no need to upgrade here at all. I think you might be referring to the bushings. Those can give a noticeable improvement in handling if changed to higher durometer units.

The front Supra bar will fit right in. The rear has a slightly different mount, but will also fit with some additional hardware. The Supra bar is a slightly thicker wall, hence it would be an upgrade over the original SC piece. It definitely won't be anything close to a good aftermarket upgrade however.

If you have noise on bumps, it's fairly unlikely that it's the sway bar bushings making the noise, it's most likely the lower control arm bushings. This is a chronic problem with these cars - they will fail no matter what, it's just a matter of time.

Can we use Supra strut bar for sc400's? If so would it be the NA? T? TT? Or it doesnt matter?

 

The thing is, the end link bolts are stripped and loose on mine. They stripped out trying to put on shocks/springs.

I'd like to use the whiteline supra sway bars w/ the adjustable endlinks. Need to know if the endlinks will work, because I'll need to change them regardless...

 

The SC endlinks do work with the Supra swaybars.

 

But do the Supra end links work on the SC? The sway bars come w/ adjustable endlinks for a Supra. Mine are stripped out.

 

No,the Supra endlinks won't work,at least not in back;you need to find some more it sounds like.

 

Will the Supra front endlinks fit? Those are the ones that are stripped..

I installed a MKIV TT Supra rear sway bar that I bought from a SupraForums member. It came without endlinks. To the best of jmy recollection the 1994 SC300 eom sway bar endlinks were reused. End of story.

To correct a factoid / self-perpetuating, reposted myth: "the mkiv sway is thicker", No, NOT. The truth is THE REAR SWAY BAR FROM A MKIV TT AND LEXUS SC300 ARE THE SAME FREAKING DIAMETER.

The MKIV sway is a different shape and gets it stiffness because it is in total about 5-6 inches shorter, thats why you have to install the subframe mounts to bring it closer to half shafts/wheels. How do I know this. I had them on the garage floor and measured them with a micrometer. Also, I used the SC300 rear sway bar bushing to mount them at that time. End of story.

Could the next member who is doing the swap please take a picture to share with everyone?

 

Any update on this? I understand that you can use stock end links in the front, but what "modifications" do you need to do to fit the front?

 

Anyone care to post up an exploded diagram of the rear suspension of a Supra rear suspension.

I need part numbers for the Rear Sway Bar mounts and Endlinks.
