Question Dilemma!

I mentioned it to my wife, and she gave me that "you're nuts!" look...

I've got my spotless 99 black on black SC4, and the 00 Tundra's for sale, and I just bought an 06 MDX with all the trimmings to replace it, and then I find a 93 SC3 5-speed just 50 miles away! It's got 145K on it, and it's not very much money. I ran a Carfax on it, and it's a local one-owner car. As far as I can tell, it's bone stock.

I've never driven a manual SC, and I'm by golly at least gonna drive the thing! But, what if I reeeally like it? I already have way too many vehicles (my wife has her 05 ES too) for my 2-car garage and skinny driveway.

If you wuz me, what would you do??

the only dilemma u have now is where to park your new 93 5 speed lol.

Get it and worry about the parking later, it will work itself out always does.

Can u not get a parking pass for your street? Here we can get a 3-6-12 month pass to park on the street if you dont have a place to park your car otherwise.

Anyways good luck either way

You will not like it. Do not waste your time. Or the sellers.

A 1999 SC400 is far better than a 1993 SC300 and you are selling it.

Do you know how many manual Honda Civics I drive by each day? I don't. Does that mean they have a superior vehicle? NO.

A 93 is missing out on a lot of luxury features. A SC300 is slow.

nobody is saying that its fast just because its manual.

most people find the manual car more fun to drive than an automatic

and in my opinion the 93 isnt that different from the 99

"93 isn't that different from the 99"

Ugly body style & taillights.
No heated auto-dimming side mirrors & rear-view mirror.
No 3-Spoke Steering wheel
No perforated leather.
Yellow tinted gauge cluster.
No MPG or outside air temperature display.
No homelink

Do you know a SC300 manual gets 10%-20% worse MPG than a 98-00 SC400?

all of those things you named are minor differences----do you think he is worried about heated side mirrors? tint gauge cluster? 3 spoke steering wheel is a cosmetic upgrade does nothing to change performance. And ugly body style? thats just your opinion , alot of people still like the early model body --myself included.

The 300 will feel like a dog, you're going from a 290hp car to a 225hp car that weigh within about 200lbs of each other. It takes me a few miles to readjust to my SC300 after driving my 300hp STS, it still feels sporty but is noticeably lacking at first.

I'm not saying you won't like it or that its not a good car. In fact, if you're looking for a toy to tinker with I'd definitely choose the 300 over the 400. Just don't expect the pep you're used to with your 99, even though its a five speed.

I was just letting him know what to expect, he's coming from the most powerful car of this kind into the most average.
