Lol the stangs are all cool with the swap. We are a bunch of guys that have respect for all cars. Def not brand loyal. My other car is a 600 plus whp stang. I have to make my sc better than that. I'm building my sc to make 1000 whp

Craigslist in Stockton CA. Took a three hour drive to get it. Guy was asking 1500. But when you have ten 100 dollar bills in hand and in the sellers face.............. they usually give in.

boosted4.6,
Good job, and also great selection on the engine as well. Looks like you've either got an LQ4 or LQ9, depending on the year of the Silverado it came out of. I think these motors are a perfect swap into the SC, as the extra weight of the cast iron blocks preserves the balance of these cars, in contrast to the heavier 2JZGTE.

Not to mention some LQ4's and all LQ9's came with 317 cast heads which are identical to the Z06 and CTS-V LS6 heads. You've already got the LS6 intake so your golden there. All you need is an LS6 cam, which I've heard is great for boosted LS's. Cheap too Also, if you've got an LQ4 you're already set-up for boost, as most of them have a 9.0:1 compression ratio.

Good luck and hopefully we'll see some street pulls?

One more thing, and not to hijack this thread, but if others are looking to go this route, these adjustable engine mounts are worth checking out.

I also got mine for 1000 on ls1tech. They are out there you just have to have cash ready to send.

Boosted - If you are looking for a site that has a lot of info on it about the swap and stuff, look at silviav8forums.com. I took my ls2 out of my s13 and put it in my sc so if you have any questions Id be happy to answer anything I could.

Those are some nice mounts. I know the Dgr mounts were pricey but made installing the engine and trans a real simple deal. We stabbed it once to see where we had to clearance the rear crossmember and trans tunnel. Removed the motor, performed the needed clearancing and re stabbed the motor/ trans
