411 is the ecu that gm used in the camaro, corvette, and firebird. It is the ecu that is drive by cable and is the better of the gm ecu's from what i understand.

Before i put the motor in, i will be installing texas speeds torquer v2 camshaft and valvetrain upgrade kit. DGR also quoted me $900 for a set of their custom made longtube headers. No thanks. I will make them myself. $180 for a diy longtube kit that comes complete with flanges, mandrel u bends, and 3" collectors. here is a vid of a torquer cam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AxFEV9b0Y8

Quote: lmfao.......that is so true at first i was quoted $1200. but then i was like ok, i dont need my sub frame modified because i know i can do that myself. For 800 i got both motor mounts, the trans crossmember, and the trans urethane mount. i still need to buy the urethane mounts that go in between the dgr mounts and the subframe.
yea, i'm just looking for the engine mounts and transmission mount, didn't need anything else as those i can do locally without much hassle.

I was also quoted $1200 for just the mounts.

For that much money I'll figure it out myself. Especially when you're thinking about doing a 5.3+A4 swap, thats more than the entire drivetrain would cost me.... by a lot.

Quote: That price might not be including the driveshaft, and other modded parts, I bet(?)

just curious, but what do you do with the ecu and wiring with this swap? Does everything in the car still function when you are done?

I will post pics and details about how I am going about the wiring. There are many different ways to go about it.
