Do I really need the plates from lextreme to do this? I just got my ECU rebuilt and the stupid EGR check engine light just popped on(code 71) and I am done with it. It's stupid, pointless, looks ugly and causes a little orange light to shine in my face when I drive.

I have no idea what I am able to pull of though, so I am a bit uneasy doing it myself. Anyone have a DIY for it?

Where did you get your ecu rebuilt and what was the reason for rebuilding it? Just curious.

 

I was throwing a lot of codes:
-both knock sensors
-both air/fuel codes
-egr (which was cleaned out and went away.... but now is back)
-fuel pump
-rpm signal

and my car stopped starting so I brought it to the toyota dealer and they said, with confidence, the computer was bad. and i PM'd you where to get it done.
